Slowing down… to perform better?

It sounds counterintuitive. And yet.
We live in a society where being busy is rewarded.
So much that we’ve started to confuse productivity with usefulness.
I felt that pressure clearly last year, when I started my maternity leave.
Even at one of the most intense moments of my life, physically and mentally, not working triggered guilt.

And that pause gave me perspective.
When we feel overwhelmed, behind, or constantly comparing ourselves to others, we don’t need to run faster.
👉 Slowing down is not the opposite of progress.
It's often the condition for clarity.
When we compare ourselves and rush to be faster, better, first,
we don't move forward, we just lose direction.
So to start this year, this is my invitation to you:
⏱️Slow down to accept that meaningful things take time.
There are no shortcuts. Some results require patience, consistency, and trust. And consistency (yes, twice).
💡Slow down to reflect on what truly matters to you.
Not what others are doing. Not what feels urgent.
But what is aligned with your project, your values, your rhythm.
🔀 Slow down to stop doing everything at once.
Comparison pushes us to rush. Clarity allows us to choose.
One thing at a time.
Each thing in its own time.
Progress is not about being the first or the best,
that belief stops many people from even starting.
⚠️👇
It’s about doing it.
In your own way.
With clarity.
Now.
💫 Confusion is not a lack of ability.
It’s a lack of clarity.
If you want go further:
- Where in your personal life or work would slowing down help you gain clarity this week?
- How do you gain clarity to stop rushing and start acting with intention?
